Tenderenda mushroom producer
Mushroom Farm Tenderenda (Uprawa Pieczarek Tenderenda) is a family farm. In the year 2000, together with the parents we made a decision to build a mushroom farm.
From the very beginning it was supposed to be a very modern farm with full automatics and air conditioning.
We based ourselves on the knowledge and experience of our parents who started their mushroom adventure in the 70's. Their first step was a mushroom farm of the area of 800m2 which they ran together with the brother and his wife. Later as co-owners of the company MYKOGEN they started the production of mycelium, and then, in the 80's also under the name of MYKOGEN, they began production of phase II in bulk with sporned mycelium. At that time those were very modern units, perfectly equipped and efficiently managed.
We started building the mushroom farm in the year 2000 with 6 tunnels, each of 400m2. The first mushrooms already appeared in the year 2001 and in that year we decided to extend the company with another 6 tunnels. As a result, in the year 2003 we made the production on the growing area of 4800m2.
Large interest in our mushrooms, known for exceptionally good quality, helped us to make the decision on building a second company with the area of 4400m2. A turning point came in the year 2004. In that year we began production in the new company as well as we moved from compost phase II into compost phase III. As a result our production increased three times.
The years 2006 and 2007 brought further development of the farm. Apart from extension of the company by another 2800m2, we equipped the farm with a modern machine for loading compost phase III as well as we started a new cooling unit which enables us to load mushrooms directly from the chiller without breaking the cooling sequence
Bearing in mind the needs and requirements of the customers, Mushroom Farm Tenderenda since the year 2005 has had the Certificate Eurep Gap, and in the year 2007 as one of the first we have received a positive result of the inspection and the certificate TNC which enables us to deliver mushrooms to one of the leading European networks, TESCO.
In near future it is planned to further extend and modernize the companies.
